Complementary Feeding in Emergencies Programming and Resources

Previous assessments have highlighted the need to document complementary feeding programming in emergency contexts. In order to contribute to improving complementary feeding in emergency programming, the Infant Feeding in Emergencies (IFE) Core Group, in collaboration with UNICEF and USAID Advancing Nutrition, produced case studies on programming in Nigeria, Sudan, Myanmar, and Yemen. These case studies outline policy, institutional, and community-level interventions across the food, health, water and sanitation, and social protection sectors along the humanitarian-development nexus based on the Action Framework for improving the diets of infants and young children. Launch: Climate Adaptation Learning Activity (CALA)

The Climate Adaptation Learning Activity (CALA) Award held its official launch on October 25, 2023. The launch was done via an online webinar. During this webinar participants: Learnt about CALA’s objectives and upcoming activities, such as our virtual Regional Learning Events and the Climate Adaptation Programming Meta Evaluation; Received an update on the Climate Adaptation Programming Desk Review, which will index and classify climate adaptation programs and summarize intervention types, including key characteristics and their associated successes and challenges; and Provided your input on key research and learning priorities to inform our Climate Adaptation Programming Learning Agenda.
