Lessons and Perspectives from Water Security and Resilience Activities in the Sahel - Part II

Data Sharing for HDP Coherence: Practical Case Studies
Join this event to learn more about how organizations used different types of data and approaches for data sharing, resulting in programming improvements. Following the Knowledge Sharing Series on HDP Coherence (2022), IDEAL has documented three descriptive case studies from activities in Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Ethiopia, and Madagascar, where implementing partners made a concerted effort to share data and information across HDP coherence pillars. The case studies highlight the types of data that have been useful and the practices that have facilitated data sharing. From May 9-12, 2023, the Greater Horn of Africa Regional Knowledge Sharing Meeting (RKSM) convened nearly 200 stakeholders for three days of interactive sessions and discussions around how to achieve Humanitarian-Development-Peace (HDP) Coherence in practice. Together, the food security community reflected on effective ways to mitigate the effects of enduring crises affecting the region, explored promising practices and longer-term solutions to improve HDP coherence, and strengthened collaboration across organizations and professionals working in the Greater Horn.
