5th Symposium on Climate Change Adaptation in Africa

This conference, AFRICA 2030, will focus on strengthening the means through which African universities may support the resilience capacity of African countries to handle the challenges of a changing environment. The event will serve the purpose of showcasing experiences from research, field projects, and best practices in climate change adaptation in African universities, which may be replicated or upscaled in the continent. The Symposium will be a truly interdisciplinary event, organized in the framework of the 2030 UN Agenda for Sustainable Development, and Agenda 2036 of the African Union, mobilizing African and non-African scholars undertaking research and/or executing climate change

Water and WASH Futures Conference 2023

The Water and WASH Futures Conference 2023 is part of the Water and WASH Futures knowledge forums, a series of knowledge-sharing and learning activities for practitioners and professionals in the international water supply, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) and water resource management (WRM) sectors. The five-day event will bring together WASH and WRM professionals and actors from connected sectors, to discuss the challenges facing the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 targets, in the context of a changing climate.

Integrating Gender Equality and Social Inclusion in WASH and IWRM

About Gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) aspects are deeply embedded within WASH and WRM programming. Improvements in WASH and WRM practice can affect gender equality and social norms and vice versa. As such, there are risks that WASH and WRM programming of having negative unintended consequences on social norms and gender equality, dampening potential positive impacts.
