Climate Change and the Potential for the Weaponization of Water

Climate change is altering water availability and leading to unprecedented water shortages in many parts of the world. The resulting water insecurity can lead to political instability and conflict. This conflict may involve the weaponization of water, where control over access to water is used to oppress individuals or gain advantage over rivals. This lecture will review instances where water has been weaponized and how changes in climate may increase the frequency of these types of actions in the future. Delivering for Nutrition in South Asia Conference 2022

The purpose of this conference is to synthesize relevant evidence and stimulate dialogue to inform and guide policy and program initiatives in South Asia for improving equitable access to and consumption of healthy diets. The format for this year’s conference is hybrid, consisting of a virtual two-day conference that will bring together regional stakeholders, followed by in-person policy dialogues among national stakeholders at the country-level. Cash and Voucher Assistance for Gender-based Violence Outcomes in the MENA Region

With support from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the Women's Refugee Commission (WRC) and CARE, on behalf of the Global Protection Cluster Task Team on Cash for Protection (TTC4P), are convening a workshop for Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) and Gender-based Violence (GBV) stakeholders focusing on CVA for GBV outcomes within and outside of GBV case management in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region.
