COP Out or Radically Change the Way the World Pays for Disasters
This event, hosted by Devex in partnership with DAI and the Centre for Disaster Protection on the occasion of COP26, will examine how international and local actors can work together to create mechanisms for pre-agreed financing to ensure more timely, efficient, and agile disaster response. Drawing on the work of the Crisis Lookout Coalition, it will also explore how a new global agreement for crisis protection can help identify priority risks, help people adapt, and make sure they have the funds they need when it matters most.![PLA Toolkit Cover](/sites/default/files/2021-10/STC_PLAToolsBooklet_FR_Page_01_0.png)

Systems and Understanding: Lessons Across USAID’s Sustainable WASH Systems
Join SWS for an engaging webinar about lessons learned from a systems approach to support stakeholder understanding of WASH service delivery. Systems approaches can have a significant impact on the planning and management of sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services. USAID’s Sustainable WASH Systems Learning Partnership (SWS) investigated the hypothesis that improving local stakeholders’ understanding of the interconnected factors that influence service delivery leads to more holistic decisions that result in improved service delivery outcomes. An SWS research team interviewed hundreds of service delivery stakeholders engaged in professionalized maintenance and facilitated collective action approaches in Ethiopia, Uganda, and Kenya![Cover page of report](/sites/default/files/2021-10/Cover.jpg)
