![](/themes/custom/fsn2020/assets/img/transparent.png)
This report is part of a larger study on the humanitarian-development-peace (HDP) nexus approach, which aims to make interventions in conflict-affected and fragile contexts more sustainable by integrating peacebuilding components. It is intended for policymakers, international aid organizations, and local NGOs working in South Sudan. The Spotlight highlights the specific challenges and opportunities of implementing the HDP nexus in South Sudan, emphasizing the need for a decolonial approach to truly empower local actors and address underlying power imbalances. It argues for more local-led initiatives to ensure effective and equitable implementation of the HDP nexus.
