Improving Humanitarian Coordination: Themes and Recommendations

This report synthesizes discussions and recommendations from a meeting convened by ALNAP in 2016. It is designed for policymakers, practitioners, and stakeholders involved in humanitarian coordination efforts, both within and outside the humanitarian sector. The report highlights themes and actionable recommendations aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of coordination efforts, particularly in addressing strategic, response-wide issues that may currently be overlooked by existing coordination models. It can be used as a resource for informing policy decisions, improving coordination strategies, and promoting collaboration among actors in the humanitarian field.
