This joint analysis initiative addresses the fragmentation of assessment studies conducted by Humanitarian, Development, and Peacebuilding (HDP) actors, aiming to foster a more cohesive and comprehensive response to community needs and vulnerabilities. It is designed for HDP actors involved in operationalizing the HDP Nexus, particularly those at the local level. The analysis serves as the initial step in the Nexus operationalization process, providing a common understanding of conflict drivers, community impacts, and local capacities to address needs and vulnerabilities. It can be used to identify gaps, priorities, and recommendations that inform the development of a common action plan to promote sustainable solutions and reduce the need for prolonged humanitarian assistance.
