Co-ordination Across the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus
This paper offers an in-depth examination of coordination among organizations operating in fragile and conflict-affected contexts, with a focus on the first pillar of the DAC Recommendation on the Humanitarian-Development-Peace (HDP) Nexus. It is intended for policymakers, practitioners, and stakeholders involved in humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding efforts in these contexts. By exploring various coordination approaches, the paper aims to inform policy discussions and advocate for enhanced development effectiveness and coherent approaches within the HDP Nexus framework. It can be used as a resource to identify challenges, best practices, and opportunities for improving coordination among actors across humanitarian, development, and peace sectors, ultimately contributing to more effective and integrated responses in fragile and conflict-affected settings.
