RKSM Venue
The RKSM will take place at the Great Rift Valley Lodge (GRVL) in Naivasha, a 90-minute drive from Nairobi. Due to its remote location, all participants will be expected to stay at the GRVL for the duration of the event.
Registered participants will receive detailed instructions on how to book their accommodations at a preferential rate by email. Any questions regarding bookings at the GRVL can be directed to the organizers at rksm-horn@fsnnetwork.org.
Transportation To and From GRVL
Group shuttles will be organized from Nairobi (airport or city center—to be determined) to GRVL on Sunday, May 7 and Monday May 8, and from GRVL to Nairobi on Friday May 12 and Saturday May 13. Further details will be provided to registered participants.
Please note that RKSM organizers will not be able to accommodate individual transfer arrangements. For special arrangements, please contact GRVL at ecommerce@heritagehotels.co.ke.
Traveling to Kenya
Partners traveling from outside of Kenya are highly encouraged to visit the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya website to read the most updated travel and health requirements.
Since 2021, all visas for Kenya are managed online via the Republic of Kenya Electronic Visa System.

- Can I attend only for one day? We are asking stakeholders to attend the full three-day RKSM program (May 9-11). Monday May 8 and Friday May 12 are dedicated to specific meetings and optional skills building workshops.
- What is the national currency in Kenya? The national currency is the Kenyan Shilling.
- What type of power outlets are used in Kenya? Power plug sockets in Kenya are of type G.
- What is the weather like at this time of the year? In May, expect average highs at 74°F (23°C) and lows at 57°F (14°C). The long rainy season is still in full effect.
