Embedding Social Cohesion Tools in Program Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Systems
Social cohesion is a multifaceted, multisystemic, and contextually shaped phenomenon, making quantifying social cohesion and peacebuilding programs' impact difficult. This video provides insights on how to strengthen an evidence-based practice by using existing resources. It demonstrates practical application of social cohesion and peacebuilding measuring tools, such as the Catholic Relief Services’ Social Cohesion Barometer and the Institute for Economic and Peace 's Positive Peace Index. The discussion surfaces insights into incorporating systems thinking instead of traditional linear processes during data analysis and interpreting results in specific sociocultural, economic, and political contexts.
