An Adaptive Scenario Planning Process Prompted by COVID-19

This case study describes Graduating to Resilience’s use of adaptive management. In the midst of unprecedented uncertainty, Graduating to Resilience decided to develop a context monitoring and adaptive scenario planning tool and process to help anticipate and plan for the ways in which lockdowns provoked by COVID-19 could influence their programs. Using a scenario planning approach helped the team identify factors within their operating environment that could affect their ability to implement their activity and proactively determine alternate approaches.
