Cracking the Nut Conference 2024

The Cracking the Nut Conference returns in 2024 to Abuja, Nigeria! Recognizing that climate change is increasing risks and making agricultural markets even more unpredictable, this conference will explore innovative approaches to leverage public funds and attract private sector investment in climate-smart agriculture and green finance. Building on the success of Cracking the Nut 2023, which focused on risk reduction in rural and agricultural investment, this year's event aims to address the critical need for investment in agriculture to both mitigate the effects of climate change and promote adaptation to climate-related shocks.

The conference will spotlight the underutilization of climate finance for adaptation solutions and explore the business case of using green finance to support adaptation within agriculture and food systems.
