Regional Learning Event on Climate Adaptation and Risk Reduction in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC)

This learning event, the first in a series of regional events organized by USAID's Climate Adaptation Learning Activity (CALA), convened 132 stakeholders involved in USAID-funded programming on climate adaptation and risk reduction in the LAC region. Hosted online on May 8-9, 2024, sessions offered participants a chance to discuss challenges and promising practices, and identify outstanding evidence gaps in the following topics:

  • Community-led Early Warning, Response, and Adaptation: Climate Information Services and Urban Adaptation & Risk Reduction Programming; and
  • Capacity Strengthening for Climate Change Adaptations: Climate-resilient Agriculture and Natural Resources Management (NRM).

Participants also discussed cross-cutting topics including Equity, Inclusion and Gender, as well as Community-led Climate Adaptations. Please click on the buttons below to read the learning briefs from the event:
