Using Care Groups in Emergencies

Using Care Groups in Emergencies

Posted by wuliejong on 28 Jun 2017

Hi everyone,

Peter Ndungu and I (Julie Tanaka), from Samaritan's Purse, did a presentation on using Care Groups in Emergencies yesterday in the Care Groups Forward meeting.  This is the link to the presentation:  https://coregroup.adobeconnect.com/pce50sc6i5jc/ and this is the link to the Field Exchange article about that project: http://www.ennonline.net/fex/54/emergenciesinsouthsudan

We had a lively discussion on the call yesterday and wanted to continue it on this forum.  We would love to hear from those that may have questions about the approach/methodology.  For those of you who have experiences using Care Groups in an emergency context, what were some of your challenges, successes, and lessons learned?

Greetings all:

Also, a big thank you to Peter and Julie for their presentation yesterday; it was great to hear how they were able to incorporate care groups into a very challenging situation, and with great results to boot.
