State of the World's Mothers (SOWM) is a report that ranks the best and worst places in the world to be a mother.

Since 2000, the SOWM report has been a reliable international tool to show where mothers and children fare best, and where they face the greatest hardships, using the latest data on health, education, economics, and female political participation

The annual Mothers’ Index uses the latest data on women’s health, children’s health, educational attainment, economic well-being and female political participation to rank 179 countries and show where mothers and children fare best and where they face the greatest hardships.
