Groundwater has become the key resource for reliable domestic water supply of rural communities worldwide and many millions of the rural population of South Asia and Sub- Saharan Africa in particular depend on water wells for their supply. Reliable water wells are thus central to achieving the UN-SDG targets for rural water supply. This Series is designed both to inform professionals in other sectors of key interactions with groundwater resources and hydrogeological science and to guide International Association of Hydrogeologists members in their outreach to related sectors.
