Dairy business contributes to local economic growth and household food security. Women are highly involved in dairy production, but they are mostly not seen as dairy producers. This paper explores what are the key success factors of gender-inclusive interventions that enhance dairy value chain development from a business perspective in the global south. It presents arguments why private business should address gender in their dairy chain interventions and which interventions contribute to successful gender-inclusion.
