In 2022, the Gender and Youth Activity (GAYA) in collaboration with Sayara International surveyed over 600 implementers to better understand the barriers that exist around gender and youth integration in development and emergency programs. GAYA then further explored key themes and triangulated findings through qualitative research with emergency and development food security program staff.

This report, prepared by Sayara International details the research methodology, findings, and recommendations for GAYA. In addition to the full report, GAYA prepared an Evidence-Based Guide to Action (coming March 2023), which details GAYA's top three recommendations for implementers from this formative research.
