The Development Assistance Committee (DAC) Recommendation on the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus was adopted to enhance coherence between humanitarian, development, and peace efforts, aiming to reduce people's needs, risks, and vulnerabilities, ultimately shifting from delivering humanitarian assistance to ending need. It targets DAC members, development cooperation actors, and stakeholders involved in humanitarian and peace actions, particularly in fragile and conflict-affected situations. This comprehensive framework provides eleven principles to guide donors and stakeholders, fostering collaborative and complementary actions across the Nexus. It emphasizes strengthened coordination, programming, and financing to address risks and vulnerabilities, reduce need, and ensure that the furthest behind are reached. The Recommendation is monitored by the International Network on Conflict and Fragility (INCAF) to assess implementation progress and address remaining gaps.
