Considerations for Integrating the Graduation Approach within Resilience Food Security Activities

This report provides a more comprehensive study of prevailing practices in integrating graduation programming across three RFSAs: Graduating to Resilience (AVSI/Uganda), Nobo Jatra (World Vision/Bangladesh), and Nuyok (Catholic Relief Services (CRS)/Uganda). The report begins with a summary of the graduation approach, followed by a description and overview of the three RFSAs and their application of the graduation approach in different contexts. Next, it presents key findings related to the adaptation of the graduation approach for each graduation component, the integration of graduation programming into these RFSAs, followed by early learnings on graduation pathways, and the evidence base for applying graduation in RFSAs. Last, it presents recommendations for RFSA practitioners and BHA to consider in the design and application of the graduation approach in future RFSAs.
