This report examines using Village Savings and Loan groups combined with social safety nets as a way to improve economic opportunity in Haiti, and showcases examples from different partners. CARE convened a learning event because through the USAID-funded Kore Lavi project, there are currently 1,241 VSLAs throughout Haiti with 36,917 members (27,188 women, 9,729 men) and a total value of 148,785,009 HTG or approximately $1,970,000 USD in savings. 50% of safety net beneficiaries are integrated into the VSLAs and 80% of have established additional income
