This study assessed the quality of the 133 USAID-funded impact evaluation (IE) reports published from fiscal years 2012 to 2019. The review started with an initial rating to determine if the IE report met USAID’s IE definition. The rest of the review scored whether those IEs included quality elements across six domains that generate confidence in the reported results, including: sample size considerations, conceptual framing, treatment characteristics, and outcome definitions and measurement, data collection and analysis, common threats to validity, and reporting of findings
