FY2016 Request for Applications - DRC, Ethiopia, and Liberia

Below are the Fiscal Year 2016 (FY 2016) Request for Applications (RFA) for the Office of Food for Peace (FFP) Title II development food assistance projects in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Ethiopia and Liberia, as well as the country-specific information (CSI) for these three countries.

Request for Applications for Title II Development Food Assistance Projects for Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, and Liberia

DRC Country-Specific Information

Ethiopia Country-Specific Information

Liberia Country-Specific Information

Applications are submitted at the risk of the applicant, and all preparation and submission costs are at the applicant’s expense.

  • USAID reserves the right to adjust the number of awards, funding levels and sources of funding, given the budget environment and other considerations. The CSI contains current thinking on numbers and budget.
  • Just like last year, this RFA makes reference to separate technical information.  Select technical information is included in the Technical References on the FFP website; links are provided in the RFA.
  • As a reminder, the RFA uses the word “participant” in place of “beneficiary.”  However, other FFP documents and the FFP Management Information System (FFPMIS) continue to use beneficiary/beneficiaries.
  • Monetization is limited to projects in Bangladesh only.  Therefore, as per the CSIs, no monetization should be included in applications for DRC, Ethiopia or Liberia.

Applications are due Monday, June 13, 2016, by 11:59AM, Eastern Daylight Time. Please do not wait until the last day to submit applications. FFP will work toward an expedient decision and will inform successful applicants of its decision.

Oral presentations may be required as conditions permit (see RFA, page 5). Details concerning oral presentations will be communicated to successful first phase applicants.

All documents are also available on the USAID website at www.usaid.gov/What-we-do/Agriculture-and-Food-Security/Food-Assistance/Programs/Development-Programs.

Alternatively, all documents are available on grants.gov.

Please note that no FFP country backstop officers or field representatives should be contacted about information contained in the RFA materials or with application questions. All comments and inquiries should be directed to Ms. Juli Majernik, jmajernik@usaid.gov, with a copy to FACG@amexdc2.com and "RFA FY 2016" in the subject line.
