Funded by USAID's Office of Food for Peace (FFP), the five-year UBALE Development Food Assistance Project (DFAP) worked to increase the productivity of profitable and nutritious farm products for smallholder farming households, reduce stunting among children under five, and increase resiliency to shocks. UBALE was led by Catholic Relief Services in consortium with CARE, Save the Children, the Catholic Development Commission of the Chikwawa Diocese (CADECOM), the National Cooperative Business Association CLUSA, and the National Smallholder Farmers’ Association of Malawi.
