Climate Adaptation Learning Activity (CALA)

The Climate Adaptation Learning Activity (CALA) Award held its official launch on October 25, 2023. The launch was done via an online webinar.

During this webinar participants:

  • Learnt about CALA’s objectives and upcoming activities, such as our virtual Regional Learning Events and the Climate Adaptation Programming Meta Evaluation;
  • Received an update on the Climate Adaptation Programming Desk Review, which will index and classify climate adaptation programs and summarize intervention types, including key characteristics and their associated successes and challenges; and
  • Provided your input on key research and learning priorities to inform our Climate Adaptation Programming Learning Agenda. The learning agenda will identify and prioritize key evidence gaps and align research and learning efforts across the implementing partner community.

Funded by the USAID Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, CALA’s ultimate goal is to improve the quality and effectiveness of climate resilience and adaptation efforts through the generation, analysis, and dissemination of evidence and learning related to climate change adaptation programming.
