USAID Resilience and Learning Activity

The USAID Resilience and Learning Activity (RLA) is pleased to present a webinar on Human-Centered Design in USAID WASH Programming. This learning event will provide valuable insights and best practices for incorporating human-centered design (HCD) principles into water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) activities. HCD is a user-focused approach that places the needs and experiences of individuals at the center of the design process. By applying this methodology to WASH, we can ensure that interventions are more effective, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of communities.

The webinar will feature experienced WASH practitioners from Ethiopia and around the world who will share their experiences and practical tips on implementing human-centered design. Presenters include Jess MacArthur Research and Learning Advisor, Practice, Research, and Operations in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (PRO-WASH & SCALE), Tinotenda Muvuti, Technical Advisor for WASH, Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) International, and Martha Gebeyehu, WASH Director from iDE a consortium of Poverty Reduced Sustainably in an Environment of Resilient and Vibrant Economy (PReSERVE) Activity in Ethiopia. Participants will also have an opportunity to engage in discussions and ask questions about the topic. All WASH stakeholders are encouraged to join this informative webinar. Please register by May 7, 2024.
